C/2015 ER61 PANSTARRS

Comet C/2015 ER61 (PANSTARRS) photographed on June 25th 2017. After surpass its perihelion at the beginning May, still losing brightness until magnitude 9 the comet continued deploying a long tail of gas and dust which in this image shows at least half degree lenght. The shots suffered technical troubles influencing to calibration and chrominance of the image, but finally I decided recover them and work in its processing for recover my last image of this comet which has been the most interesting on 2017.

Cometa C/2015 V2 Johnson (24-Jun-2017)

C/2015 V2 Johnson

Comet C/2015 V2 (Johnson) photographed on June 24, 2017. In this image the comet was going away from Sun and Earth but still kept with a high brightness of 7,5 magnitude and its morphology: a coma 15′ diameter, dust tail until north edge of the photo and very faint ionic tail barely visible toward souteast (to down-left). Some small galaxies appears on this field in Virgo constellation, highlighting NGC 5506 and NGC 5507 circa upper right corner.

41P/Tuttle-Giacobini-Kresak

Moving away from the Sun lost quickly brightness, until magnitude 10.5 in this image in which still is seen its coma with 5′ diameter, faint, little condensed and elongated shape, on the Milky Way background.

Cometa C/2015 V2 Johnson (20-Jun-2017)

C/2015 V2 Johnson

Comet C/2015 V2 Johnson imaged on June 20th 2017, a week after its maximum approach to Sun (perihelion) and with an apparent brightness near 7,5 magnitude. Its coma has 10′ of diameter in this image, dust tail extends half degree toward north while ionic tail is barely noticeable very faint toward southeast.
