Cometa 252P/LINEAR (4-Jun-2016)

El cometa 252P/LINEAR fotografiado el 4 de Junio de 2016 justo cuando empezó a caer rápidamente de brillo. En esta imagen está alrededor de la magnitud 11.5 y se observa cómo, comparándola con la imagen que obtuve tres semanas antes y en la que tenía magnitud 9, la condensación central ha perdido intensidad y la coma se ha reducido en diámetro de los 10 a los 3 minutos de arco.

Comet 252P/LINEAR imaged on June 4 2016, just when begins a fast drop in brightness. In this image is near magnitude 11.5 and can be perceived as, comparing with the image I took three weeks before in which had magnitude 9, the central condensation has lost intensity and the coma has dimmed in diameter from 10 to 3 arcminutes.

Cometa C/2014 S2 PANSTARRS (3-Jun-2016)

El cometa C/2014 S2 (PANSTARRS) fotografiado el 3 de Junio de 2016 cuando ya ha bajado de brillo hasta aproximadamente la magnitud 12. Así mismo su aspecto se ha visto muy mermado desde la última imagen que obtuve hace dos meses: la coma se ha reducido a sólo 2 minutos de arco, y las colas de polvo se han fusionado en un pequeño abanico que se abre de Este a Norte.

Comet C/2014 S2 (PANSTARRS) imaged on June 3 2016 when its brightness has dropped until near magnitude 12. Likewise its look has waned since the last image I took two months ago: coma has been reduced to only 2 arcminutes, and the dust tails have merged in a small fan that opens from East to North.

Cometa C/2013 X1 PANSTARRS (18-May-2016)

El cometa C/2013 X1 (PANSTARRS) en una imagen de gran campo tomada el 18 de Mayo de 2016, muestra hacia la izquierda una cola de rastro polvo (tipo III) de medio grado de longitud y que queda tras el a lo largo de su órbita, y una larga cola iónica (tipo I) muy ténue que se proyecta con más de tres grados de longitud hacia la parte inferior derecha de la imagen. El cometa se encuentra en la constelación de Aquarius observable mediante prismáticos antes del amanecer.

Comet C/2013 X1 (PANSTARRS) in a wide field image taken on May 18 2016, shows toward left a dust trail (tail type III) with half degree of length that remaining in its orbit, and a long ionic tail (type I) very faint which is projected with more than three degrees long toward down-right of the image. The comet is located into constellation Aquarius and is observable through binoculars before dawn.

Cometa 252P/LINEAR (16-May-2016)

El cometa 252P/LINEAR fotografiado el 16 de Mayo de 2016, desde la última imagen que obtuve hace poco más de un mes el cometa ahora es 8 veces menos brillante, pasando de la magnitud 6 a la 9, al mismo tiempo que se ha reducido el diámetro de su difusa coma verdosa de 45 a 10 minutos de diámetro.

Comet 252P/LINEAR imaged on May 16 2016, since my last image taken one month ago the comet is now 8 times less brilliant, from magnitude 6 to 9, in the same way that its fuzzy greenish coma has decreased from a diameter of 45 to only 10 arcminutes.
