Cometa C/2016 R2 PANSTARRS (17-Dic-2017)

Fotografía del cometa C/2016 R2 PANSTARRS

C/2016 R2 PANSTARRS

First color image I took of comet C/2016 R2 (PANSTARRS) on December 17, 2017, after return of Canary Islands and having photographed it with IAC-80 telescope when comet had an outburst. In this image was already looked its strong blue color in a uneven and very active tail.

Cometa C/2017 O1 ASASSN (17-Dic-2017)

Fotografía del cometa C/2017 O1 ASASSN.

C/2017 O1 ASASSN

Last image I took of comet C/2017 O1 (ASASSN) on December 17th 2017, when was definitely going away from inner Solar System and its brightness had dropped to magnitude 11.5. The comet still was showing in those time a small tail on a field of interstellar clouds at only 4° from celestial north pole.

Cometa 62P/Tsuchinshan (15-Dic-2017)

Imagen del cometa 62P/Tsuchinshan:

62P/Tsuchinshan

Comet 62P/Tsuchinshan photographed on December 15th 2017 through telescope IAC80 of Teide Observatory. This high resolution image shows a faint external coma with some 300.000 Km. diameter enveloping a sharp central condensation from wich emerges a short tail toward Northwest.

Cometa C/2017 T1 Heinze (15-Dic-2017)

Imagen del cometa C/2017 T1 Heinze:

C/2017 T1 (Heinze)

Comet C/2017 T1 (Heinze) photographed on December 15th 2017 through the telescope IAC-80 from Teide Observatory. In this image taken two months a half after be discovered and still with magnitude 13, already shows a curved dust tail. This small comet is fairly possible that disintegrate during its approaching to Sun on next February.

The high resolution of this image, stacked on comet to compensate its high speed, allows observing in detail inside of small coma, which has a diameter only 15 arcseconds.
