El cometa C/2023 P1 (Nishimura) fotografiado el 5 de septiembre de 2023. Esta es la última imagen que he podido obtener mediante telescopios remotos debido a las limitaciones para apuntar a baja altura. Las tomas las tuve que hacer en condiciones extremas de luminosidad del cielo, nada menos que al inicio del crepúsculo náutico. El cometa presenta una coma muy condensada y se aprecian algunos filamentos saliendo de ella. La cola iónica de trazo irregular tiene una longitud de 2.5°. No se puede decir mucho más de una imagen poco más que testimonial.
Comet C/2023 P1 (Nishimura) imaged on September 5, 2023. This is the last image I was able to obtain using remote telescopes due to limitations in aiming to low altitudes. The shots had to be taken under extreme sky brightness conditions, right at the beginning of nautical twilight. The comet exhibits a highly condensed coma, with some strands emerging from it. The irregularly traced ion tail measures a length of 2.5°. Not much more can be said about an image that is little more than testimonial.
