Reflector Planewave 20" CDK f/4.5 + Cámara FLI PL6303E (L:1×300 Bin1)
El cometa C/2012 X1 (LINEAR) fotografiado el 5 de Agosto de 2014 desde Siding Spring, Australia. Con un brillo entorno a la magnitud 10, presenta una coma de unos 7′ de diámetro mostrando también una amplia y ténue cola de polvo que se sale del campo en dirección noroeste. El centro de la imagen está dominado por las tres galaxias espirales barradas, de derecha a izquierda: NGC 7332B, NGC 7233 y NGC 7232 entorno a dos estrellas de magnitud 9, todo el conjunto situado dentro de la constelación de la Grulla.
Comet C/2012 X1 (LINEAR) imaged on August 5, 2014 from Siding Spring, Australia. Shining at 10 magnitude the comet has a coma of 7′ diameter and also showing a wide and weak tail of dust that comes out of field toward northwest. The middle of the image is dominated by three spiral barred galaxies, from right to left: NGC 7332B, NGC 7233 and NGC 7232 around two 8th magnitude stars, all the group located inside of constellation of Grus.
