El cometa C/2014 Q1 (PANSTARRS) fotografiado el 13 de Agosto de 2015 esta vez en color, lo que confirma la naturaleza polvorienta de ambas colas blancas proyectadas por el cometa, y la escasa emisión gaseosa que se reduce a sólo la minúscula coma donde se puede detectar el color verdoso del C₂, carbono diatómico.

Comet C/2014 Q1 (PANSTARRS) imaged on August 13th 2015 this time in color, confirming the dusty nature of both white tails thrown by comet and the poor gas emission which is abridged to only the tiny coma where is detected the greenish color of diatomic carbon C₂.

El cometa C/2014 Q1 (PANSTARRS) fotografiado el 11 de Agosto de 2015. Después de su perihelio exhibió esta inusual doble cola de polvo: la «normal» que se dirije hacia el Este de 1.5 grados de longitud, y otra hacia el norte (arriba) de más de 2 grados de longitud formada por partículas muy pesadas que se quedan atrás en la trayectoria orbital del cometa.

Comet C/2013 Q1 (PANSTARRS) imaged on August 11, 2015. After its perihelion showed this unusual double dust tail: the «nominal» directed towards East with 1.5 degrees long, and the other towards North (upwards) with more than 2 degree long shaped by very heavy particles that were left behind in the orbital trajectory of the comet.
