Otra imagen de gran campo del C/2016 R2 (PANSTARRS) de la serie obtenida desde el Observatorio del Teide durante el máximo del cometa. En este caso del 10 de Enero de 2018, la hermosa cola azul se observa mejor al no quedar superpuesta sobre las nubes interestelares que llenan el campo. Llama la atención el quiebro que hace la cola iónica, a merced del viento solar.
Another wide field image of C/2016 R2 (PANSTARRS) taken from a serial obtained from Teide Observatory during comet maximum. In this case on January 10th 2018, the beautiful blue tail is noted better because not be superimposed on interstellar clouds which fill up the field. Draw attention the sidestep what does ionic tail do, at mercy of solar wind.

Obtenida el 9 de Enero de 2018, esta es la primera imagen del cometa C/2016 R2 (PANSTARRS) perteneciente a la serie obtenida desde el Observatorio del Teide durante los días de su máxima actividad. En esta ocasión destaca la azulada cola como un penacho compuesto por varios filamentos que se proyectan en varias direcciones.
Taken on January 9th 2018, this is the first image of comet C/2016 R2 (PANSTARRS) belonging to serial obtained from Teide Observatory during maximum activity days. In this case highlights the bluish tail as a plume composed with several filaments wich are projected to different directions.

El cometa C/2016 R2 (PANSTARRS) fotografiado el 7 de Enero de 2018. Aun a cuatro meses de su perihelio muestra una gran actividad que se refleja en una inusual cola iónica, intensamente de color azul debido a su composición de monóxido de carbono, y que ondea en forma de jirones a merced del viento solar. La brillante estrella en la parte inferior izquierda es Gamma Tauri, la estrella en el vértice de la «V» que forma el cúmulo estelar de las Híades en Tauro.
Comet C/2016 R2 (PANSTARRS) photographed on January 7th 2018. Still to four months of its perihelion shows a great activity in shape of a unusual ionic tail, intensely bluish because its composition of carbon monoxid, and waving in shreds at mercy of the solar wind. The bright star at down-left is Gamma Tauri, the star at the apex of the V-shaped Hyades star cluster in Taurus.

Primera imagen en color que obtuve del cometa C/2016 R2 (PANSTARRS) el 17 de Diciembre de 2017, después de regresar de Canarias y fotografiarlo con el Telescopio IAC-80 justo cuando sufría un estallido de actividad. En esta imagen ya se apreciaba el intenso color azul de una cola irregular y muy activa.
First color image I took of comet C/2016 R2 (PANSTARRS) on December 17, 2017, after return of Canary Islands and having photographed it with IAC-80 telescope when comet had an outburst. In this image was already looked its strong blue color in a uneven and very active tail.
